The San Angelo Cinch Chute-Out was held for the first time in February 2012. This is considered to be one of the most suspenseful and exciting performances in rodeo as ten of the nations top cowboys are featured in all of the events showcased in professional rodeo. These competitors will go head to head in this unique tournament format. In the first round, the livestock and timed event order are selected at random. The top three in each event qualify to participate in the next round.
In the final round, the contestants with the highest scores from round one in the rough stock events will get to compete. Each animal will be seated from one to three. On the timed event side of the final round, the contestants will decide which order they will compete derived from fastest times in the first round. They will compete from slowest to fastest in the four round, with exception of the barrel racing. Those competitors will run from fastest to slowest.
At the end of the show, there will be an awards presentation where we get to introduce each athlete that took home the title of Cinch Chute-Out Champion!
