Meet the Ambassadors

Halli Gest, Captain

Halli Gest, Captain

This is Halli’s fifth year on the SASSRA Ambassador team, where she currently serves as the team Captain! She attends Water Valley High School as a senior and is involved in FFA, NHS, OAP, and is a Varsity cheerleader. She plans to attend Tarleton State University in the fall of 2026. When she is not with the ambassadors, she loves to be with her family or study for her future. Halli and her horse, Chorizo, are so thankful and excited to be representing the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo again this year!
Chaney Pickens, Co-Captain

Chaney Pickens, Co-Captain

Chaney is a fourth-year SASSRA Ambassador and currently serves as the team Co-Captain! She is a sophomore at Wall High School, where she runs track, is involved in H2O, and is a member of the Wall FFA Chapter where she judges horses with her teammates. Outside of the program, she enjoys running barrels and spending time with her family in her free time. Chaney is happily anticipating another great year of representing the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo with her horse, Reese!
Callie Nickell

Callie Nickell

Callie is a fifth-year SASSRA Ambassador! She attends Wall High School as a senior, where she is involved in FFA and H2O. She is currently the treasurer for the Wall FFA Chapter. Callie plans to attend Angelo State University in the fall of 2026. Outside of ambassadors, she shows pigs and judges horses through the FFA. Callie is excited to be representing the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association again this year with her horse, Sunshine!
Kaylee Scott

Kaylee Scott

Kaylee is a fourth-year SASSRA Ambassador! She is the daughter of Bridget and Cody Scott. Kaylee loves staying involved in school and agricultural programs and participates in UIL, FFA, 4-H, BPA, and TQHYA. When she’s not competing or volunteering, Kaylee enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. Kaylee looks forward to continuing to represent the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association with her horses, Nay-Nay and Lady.
Lyla Dan Bates

Lyla Dan Bates

Lyla D. Bates, also known as Dan, is a third-year SASSRA Ambassador! She works full-time with Harris Drilling and Blasting. When she is not running drills or working, Dan is usually out in Dublin training or driving horses and working on the ranch. She is extremely honored and excited to have the opportunity to represent the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo with her team and her horses, Shotgun, Swagger, and Jack, again this year, and looks forward to doing so until she ages out of the program.
Tegan Gass

Tegan Gass

Tegan is a second-year ambassador! She attends Buena Vista High School as a sophomore and is involved in numerous exciting activities, such as volleyball, powerlifting, track, tennis, golf, and horseback riding. When she is not busy with those things, she enjoys judging horses for the Buena Vista FFA Chapter. Tegan and her two horses, Cookie and Siete, are proud to be representing the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo again this year.
Addison Graves

Addison Graves

Addison is a first-year SASSRA Ambassador! She attends Bronte ISD and participates in basketball, track, and the FFA. Horses play a meaningful role in Addison’s life, and she is honored to represent the Ambassador program this year and many more. She is also learning to rope and has been making big strides, adding another exciting skill to her growing horsemanship. Addison and her two horses, Buck and Gus, are excited and ready for this rodeo season ahead!
Kaylynn Graves

Kaylynn Graves

Kaylynn is a first-year SASSRA Ambassador! She attends Bronte ISD and stays busy through many enjoyable activities like basketball, volleyball, and track. When she’s not involved with school activities, she loves spending time with her sister, Addison, and participating in local horse events like barrel racing. She is also learning to rope with her sister. Kaylynn and her two horses, Rip and Deets, are excited and ready for their first outstanding rodeo season!
Estelle Skinner

Estelle Skinner

Estelle is a first-year SASSRA Ambassador! She attends John Glen Middle School as an eighth grader and is involved in a variety of sports and NJHS. When she is not practicing or at rodeo events for Ambassadors, she is enjoying her time playing soccer, running track, drawing, and going for joyrides. Estelle and her horse, Rocko, are very thankful and excited to represent the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo for the first time!
Klaire Wilde

Klaire Wilde

Klaire is a first-year SASSRA Ambassador! She is a sophomore who is homeschooled. When she is not working with the ambassadors, she enjoys leading her basketball team as their Captain, serving the San Angelo 4-H Horse Club as secretary, and being the sweetheart of the local Twin Mountain Riding Club. She also spends time training and futuring her own horses. Klaire is honored to have the opportunity to represent the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo for the first time with her horses, Golden and Starburst!
Esperanza Martinez

Esperanza Martinez

Esperanza is a first-year SASSRA Ambassador! She is a sophomore at Miles High School and is actively involved in Varsity softball, track, FFA, and powerlifting. In her free time, Esperanza enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is more than excited and honored to represent the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association and looks forward to serving the community through the program with her partners, 8-Ball and Ace.

Ambassador Program Leadership

The SASSRA Ambassadors are coached by Kennedy King. The program is under the direction of Misty Weishuhn and Bridget Carr.
