Meet the Ambassadors

Ellen Boness, Captian

This is Ellen's third year with the ambassadors. She is the daughter of Chris and Ellis Boness. She lives in Christoval Texas and attends Christoval High School where she will be a senior. Ellen is an active member of FFA, and the National Honor Society. Additionally, Ellen is a very active 4-H member holding offices in the Christoval and Horse clubs as well as a County council officer. Ellen loves to share her enthusiasm in the equine industry through all of her 4 H events including public speaking, horse judging, consumer decisions making, and many leadership activities. Ellen looks forward to representing the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association this year with her horses Jazz, Gru, and Little Blackie!

Nayeli Carbajal

Nayeli is a seventh-year member for the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo! She loves representing the Association by sharing her horsemanship skills with her community!

Halli Gest

This is Halli’s third year on the SASSRA ambassador team! She attends Water Valley high school as an upcoming sophomore and is involved in volleyball, tennis, FFA, and 4H. When she’s not with the ambassadors or doing something school related, she loves to help her family out on the ranch. Halli and her two horses, Chorizo and Mater, are so thankful and excited to represent the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo again this year!

Callie Nickell

Callie is a third-year Ambassador and is a sophomore at Wall high school. She shows pigs and judges horses through FFA. She is excited to be representing the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association with her horses Sunshine and Thunder!

Chaney Pickens

Chaney is the daughter of Ivy and Steve Pickens. She lives on a ranch in Concho County and is a student at Wall Junior High. She enjoys running track and is passionate about spending time in the arena with her horses Sugar and Gunner. Her favorite activity is riding with the SASSRA Ambassadors. She is happily anticipating another great year of rodeos and proudly representing SASSRA!

Paige Polk

Paige Polk is an incoming second-year member of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Ambassadors. She is a Senior at Christoval High School, a state medalist in powerlifting, a member of FFA, and competes in AJRA. She and her horse Ringo are blessed to be representing the Rodeo Association this season!

Kaylee Scott

Kaylee is a second-year ambassador. She attends Miles Junior high where she participates in numerous UIL events, and plays volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. Outside of school, she is always busy working at the ranch or doing 4-H events. She is excited to be representing the ambassadors with her horse Blondie

Ava Claflin

Ava is a first-year ambassador who is a native of San Angelo. She is attending Central High School as a senior and enjoys competing in local playdays and barrel races. In her spare time, she practices playing bass guitar and collecting classic vinyl. She will be representing SASSRA with her horses Louie and Loki.

Rylee Bowen

Hi my name is Rylee this is my first year on the team and I am a sophomore at Central High school. I am a JV tennis player and a part of the Student Council. My horse's name is Malibu, and we are really looking forward to representing the SASSRA!

Emilee Davis

Emilee is a first year member of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Ambassadors! She lives and goes to school in Sterling City where she plays volleyball and basketball. She is excited to represent the SASSRA with her horse Chico!
